Cuisine Italian
- 1 cup pastina (tiny star-shaped pasta)
- 2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Cook the Pasta: Bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the pastina and cook according to the package instructions, stirring occasionally. Drain Excess Broth:Once the pasta is tender, drain any remaining liquid, leaving just a small amount to keep the dish moist. Add Butter and Cheese: Stir in the butter until melted, then mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until creamy. Season: Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve: Transfer to a bowl, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.

For a creamier texture, stir in a splash of milk or cream before serving.
-
Pastina is best served immediately, as the pasta absorbs liquid and can become mushy over time.
