- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beer (lager or ale works best)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika

- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until slightly golden.
Gradually pour in the beer, whisking continuously to prevent lumps.
Add the milk and continue to stir until smooth and slightly thickened.
Reduce the heat to low and slowly stir in the shredded cheeses until fully melted.
Mix in Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
Stir until the dip is smooth and creamy.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm with pretzels, tortilla chips, or breadsticks.
