Ingredients
  

  • 1 Pound Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 Thinly Sliced
  • 3 Garlic
  • 1/2 Cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper (adjust according to your spice preference)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place the sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker to create a flavorful bed for the chicken.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, chili powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir well to ensure all the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
    Place the seasoned chicken breasts on top of the onion and garlic mixture in the slow cooker.
    Pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
    Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  • Remove the cooked chicken from the slow cooker and transfer it to a cutting board or a large bowl.
    Using two forks, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces. The chicken should effortlessly pull apart due to its tenderness.
    Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix it with the remaining sauce to coat the meat thoroughly.
    Serve the Texas pulled chicken on buns for sandwiches, in tortillas for tacos, or alongside your favorite side dishes. Garnish with chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeƱos, or a squeeze of lime for an extra burst of flavor.
