Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ oz (45ml) coconut rum (e.g., Malibu)
  • ¾ oz (22ml) Blue Curaçao
  • 2 oz (60ml) pineapple juice
  • 2 oz (30ml) cream of coconut
  • 2 cup crushed ice
  • Pineapple wedge & maraschino cherry (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the coconut rum, Blue Curaçao, pineapple juice, and cream of coconut.

Step 2: Shake or Blend

  • For an on-the-rocks version: Add crushed ice to the shaker and shake vigorously until well mixed.
  • For a frozen version: Blend all the ingredients with crushed ice until smooth.

Step 3: Serve & Garnish

  • Pour the cocktail into a hurricane glass or a tall glass.
  • Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry on top.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your Blue Hawaiian!

Notes

  • If you prefer a stronger drink, add an extra ½ oz of rum.
  • Cream of coconut vs. coconut milk: Cream of coconut is sweeter and thicker, giving the drink a richer texture. If using coconut milk, add a dash of simple syrup for sweetness.
  • Blending makes it more like a piña colada, while shaking keeps it light and refreshing.
