  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Melt butter:
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add garlic:
Stir in minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream:
Reduce heat to low and slowly add the heavy cream, stirring continuously.
  • Incorporate Parmesan cheese:
Gradually add Parmesan cheese while whisking to create a smooth sauce.
  • Season:
Add salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using), stirring well.
  • Simmer:
Let the sauce cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  • Serve:

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best texture and flavor.
  • Do not let the sauce boil, as this may cause it to separate.
