Cuisine American
- 1/2 Cup Unsalted butter
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Cup Heavy cream
- 1 Cup Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Melt the Butter:In a saucepan or skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Allow it to melt completely but avoid letting it brown. Add the Garlic:Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic to the pan. Sauté the garlic for about 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until it becomes fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Pour in the Cream:Slowly pour the heavy cream into the saucepan with the melted butter and garlic. Stir gently to combine the ingredients. Simmer and Thicken:Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. This allows the cream to infuse with the garlic flavor. Add the Cheese:Gradually sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese into the sauce, stirring constantly to ensure it melts smoothly. Continue stirring until the sauce is thick and creamy. Season and Garnish:Taste the sauce and season with salt and pepper according to your preference. Remember that Parmesan cheese can be salty, so adjust accordingly. If desired, garnish the Alfredo sauce with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and added freshness.
