Ingredients
  

  • 1 bone-in ham (8-10 lbs)
  • 1/2 cup apple butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Place the ham in a roasting pan with the flat side down. Score the surface in a diamond pattern.
  • In a small bowl, combine apple butter, honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Brush the glaze generously over the ham, covering all sides.
  • Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for 1.5 hours.
  • Remove the foil and brush additional glaze on the ham every 20 minutes.
  • Bake uncovered for another 30 minutes, until the glaze is caramelized and the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  • Remove from the oven and let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a deeper flavor, marinate the ham in the glaze overnight.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey.
