  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream or yogurt
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced

Streusel topping:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla, then blend in sour cream.
  • Fold in dry ingredients and stir in diced apples.
  • Pour batter into the pan and sprinkle with streusel topping.
  • Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool slightly before serving warm.
