Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • Toss apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla. Spread evenly in the dish.
  • Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  • Cut in butter with a fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over apples.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes until topping is golden and apples are tender.
  • Cool slightly before serving.
