  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup cold butter, cubed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sour cream.
  • Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients.
  • In a separate bowl, mix diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Spread half the cake batter into the prepared pan.
  • Add the apple mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Spread the remaining batter on top.
  • For the crumble topping, mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and butter until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the cake.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
