- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Season the pork chops: Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper, and oregano.
Sear the chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for about 4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Prepare the sauce: In the same pan, add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in balsamic vinegar and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
Simmer the pork chops: Return the pork chops to the pan, reduce heat to low, and let them simmer in the sauce for 10 minutes, flipping once.
Finish and serve: Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy with your favorite side dish.
