Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Season the pork chops: Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  • Sear the chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for about 4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • Prepare the sauce: In the same pan, add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in balsamic vinegar and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  • Simmer the pork chops: Return the pork chops to the pan, reduce heat to low, and let them simmer in the sauce for 10 minutes, flipping once.
  • Finish and serve: Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy with your favorite side dish.

Notes

  • Use high-quality balsamic vinegar for the best flavor.
  • If you prefer a sweeter sauce, add a teaspoon of honey.
  • The pork chops should reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
