Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups cubed bread (day-old preferred)
  • 6 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (chopped)
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp mustard powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • Spread half the bread cubes in the dish.
  • Add half the bacon, spinach, and cheese.
  • Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, mustard powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the custard evenly over the layers.
  • Press gently so bread absorbs the liquid.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes until golden and set.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
