  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 10 slices of bacon, cut in half
  • Toothpicks (optional, to secure bacon)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  • Wrap each filled jalapeño with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if needed.
  • Place the wrapped jalapeños on the baking sheet, seam side down.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Remove all seeds and membranes for a milder flavour.
  • Use thin-cut bacon for quicker cooking and crispier texture.
  • You can air fry the poppers for a faster version.
  • Add a bit of hot sauce to the filling for extra spice.
  • Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
