- 10 fresh jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 10 slices of bacon, cut in half
- Toothpicks (optional, to secure bacon)
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
Wrap each filled jalapeño with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if needed.
Place the wrapped jalapeños on the baking sheet, seam side down.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Remove all seeds and membranes for a milder flavour.
- Use thin-cut bacon for quicker cooking and crispier texture.
- You can air fry the poppers for a faster version.
- Add a bit of hot sauce to the filling for extra spice.
