Ingredients

  • 2 or 3 Bananas
  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs Beaten
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Tbsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Add the beaten eggs and vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Stir until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as it can result in a dense loaf.
  • If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts for added texture and flavor.
  • Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake for approximately 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and let the banana bread cool for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice and serve your homemade banana bread, and enjoy the delightful flavors!

Health Benefits of Banana Bread

Believe it or not, banana bread can offer some health benefits too! Bananas themselves are rich in potassium, vitamin B6, and dietary fiber.
