Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream (optional, for topping)
  • 1 box vanilla wafers

Instructions
 

Step 1: Make the Custard

  • In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks.
  • Slowly pour the warm milk into the mixture, stirring constantly.
  • Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook until thickened.
  • Remove from heat, add vanilla extract and butter, and mix well.

Step 2: Layer the Pudding

  • In a dish, place a layer of vanilla wafers.Add a layer of banana slices on top.
  • Pour a portion of the custard over the bananas.
  • Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used.

Step 3: Chill and Serve

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours for the best flavor.
  • Top with whipped cream before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas for the best texture.
  • Let the pudding chill longer for a deeper flavor.
