Place the thinly sliced beef in a bowl.
Add soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and black pepper. Toss well so the beef is evenly coated.
Add a teaspoon of sesame oil followed by the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for about 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant.
Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or sugar, and optional chili oil.
Place the miso paste in a small bowl.
Ladle some of the hot broth into the bowl and whisk until the miso is completely dissolved.
Avoid aggressively boiling the broth after adding the miso, as gentle heating helps preserve its flavor.
Cook for approximately 2–4 minutes, depending on the thickness of the slices, until the beef is cooked through and lightly browned.
Cook for approximately 3–5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender but still have some texture.
Cook the ramen noodles separately according to the package instructions.
Cooking the noodles separately helps prevent them from absorbing too much broth and becoming overly soft.
Pour the hot miso broth and vegetables over the noodles.
Finish with green onions, nori, sesame seeds, and chili oil if desired.
For the best experience, enjoy it with chopsticks and a large spoon so you can savor the noodles, broth, beef, and toppings together.
