Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup cooked crumbled sausage
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley or chives)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a cast-iron skillet inside to heat up.
  • In a blender, combine flour, milk, eggs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Blend until smooth.
  • Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven and add butter, letting it melt.
  • Pour the batter into the skillet and quickly add the cooked sausage and cheese on top.
  • Place the skillet back in the oven and bake for 18–20 minutes until puffed and golden.
  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh herbs, and serve immediately.

Notes

The Dutch baby will deflate slightly after removing from the oven, which is normal.
