For the Shrimp
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
For the Boom Boom Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp lime juice
Preparing the Sauce In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sriracha, sweet chili sauce, honey, and lime juice. Set aside. Preparing the ShrimpIn a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.Dip each shrimp into the flour mixture, then the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Assembling the DishToss the fried shrimp with the Boom Boom sauce until evenly coated.Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley or green onions, alongside lime wedges.
- For a healthier option, bake or air-fry the shrimp at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes.
