Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine crushed vanilla wafers, pecans, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder.
  • Add bourbon and corn syrup to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until everything is fully combined and the mixture holds together.
  • Using your hands, roll the mixture into small 1-inch balls.
  • Roll each ball in powdered sugar or cocoa powder.
  • Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to firm up before serving.

Notes

  • For stronger bourbon flavor, increase bourbon by 1–2 tablespoons.
  • Use high-quality bourbon for the best taste.
  • Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes before rolling to help the crumbs absorb moisture.
  • Toasted pecans add a richer, nuttier flavour.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
