Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 6 cups bread cubes (French bread, sourdough, or sandwich bread)
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • Brown the sausage in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  • Lightly grease a baking dish and spread the bread cubes evenly.
  • Layer the cooked sausage over the bread.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together in a bowl.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and bread.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
