Ingredients
  

For the Brownie Layer

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

For the Marshmallow Layer

  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows

For the Chocolate Frosting

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Stir in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Remove brownies from the oven and immediately sprinkle miniature marshmallows evenly over the top.
  • Return the pan to the oven for 2–3 minutes until the marshmallows become soft and puffy.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely before frosting.
  • Beat butter, milk, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the chocolate frosting evenly over the marshmallow layer.
  • Cut into squares and serve.
