Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (40 oz) Bruce's Yams, drained
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional, for topping)

Instructions
 

1. Preheat Oven :

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Prepare Yams :

  • Place the drained yams in a baking dish and gently mash them with a fork, leaving some chunks for texture.

3. Make the Sauce :

  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Pour the mixture evenly over the yams and gently toss to coat.

4. Add Toppings :

  • Sprinkle chopped pecans over the yams for added crunch (optional).
  • If using marshmallows, add them during the last 5 minutes of baking.

5. Bake :

  • Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the yams are heated through and the top is golden and bubbling.

6. Serve :

  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute honey for maple syrup if desired.
  • Adjust the sweetness by reducing the brown sugar or maple syrup according to your taste.
