- 6 slices bread (toasted)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a pot combine water, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
Toast bread slices lightly.
Place a layer of bread in a baking dish. Add raisins and nuts.
Pour some syrup over the bread.
