- 1 ½ pounds flank steak or skirt steak
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon adobo sauce (from the can)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
In a bowl, combine chopped chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, olive oil, lime juice, orange juice, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Place steak in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour marinade over it.
Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (up to 4 hours for stronger flavor).
Remove steak from marinade and shake off excess.
Grill for 3–5 minutes per side until medium-rare or desired doneness.
