- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
For the Creamy Filling :
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip)
For the Cherry Topping :
- 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
Prepare the Crust :
In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until well combined.
Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish to form an even layer
Place the crust in the refrigerator to set while preparing the filling.
Make the Creamy Filling :
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
Fold in the whipped topping gently until fully combined.
Assemble the Layers :
Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
Add the cherry pie filling on top, spreading it out evenly.
Top with the remaining cream cheese mixture, smoothing it out with a spatula.
Chill and Serve :
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to set.
Slice into squares and serve. Optionally, garnish with extra whipped topping or fresh cherries.
