- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups whole milk or half-and-half
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1½ cups pasta (fettuccine broken, penne, or rotini)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
In a large pot, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
Sauté onion until soft and translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
Add pasta and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and add milk, cream, shredded chicken, and Italian seasoning.
Simmer gently for 5–7 minutes; do not boil.
Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
