Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound chicken hearts, cleaned
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Chicken Hearts:
    Rinse the chicken hearts thoroughly under cold water. Remove any excess fat or connective tissue if needed.
  • Season:
    In a large bowl, mix chicken hearts with olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, black pepper, and salt. Add soy sauce if desired. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Heat the Pan:
    Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of olive oil.
  • Cook the Hearts:
    Add the marinated chicken hearts to the skillet. Sauté for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are cooked through and slightly browned.
  • Rest and Garnish:
    Remove from heat and let the chicken hearts rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Chicken hearts cook quickly, so avoid overcooking to keep them tender.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
