Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 pre-made pie crust or homemade pie crust

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  • Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring continuously until thickened.
  • Stir in chicken, carrots, peas, potatoes, and celery. Cook for 5 minutes until heated through.
  • Pour the filling into a pie dish lined with pie crust.
  • Cover with the top pie crust, seal the edges, and cut slits in the top for steam to escape.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispier crust, brush the top with an egg wash before baking.
