Ingredients

For the crepes:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp melted butter

For the chocolate filling:

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 ripe bananas (sliced)

Optional toppings:

  • Whipped cream
  • Powdered sugar
  • Chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, hazelnuts)
  • Extra chocolate sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare the crepe batter: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir in the melted butter until smooth.
  • Cook the crepes: Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the pan and swirl to coat the bottom evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  • Make the chocolate sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate with heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Assemble the crepes: Place a crepe on a plate, spoon some chocolate sauce in the center, and add a few banana slices. Fold or roll up the crepe around the filling.
  • Optional toppings: Top with whipped cream, powdered sugar, or chopped nuts if desired.
  • Serve: Enjoy your delicious chocolate banana crepes immediately while warm!

Notes

  • For an extra indulgent treat, you can caramelize the bananas with a bit of butter and brown sugar before adding them to the crepes.
  • If you prefer dark chocolate, you can substitute semi-sweet chocolate with dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
