Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 5 eggs (separated)
  • 1 cup sugar (divided)
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Milk Mixture:

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional for extra chocolate flavor)

For Topping:

  • 1 ½ cups whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Beat egg yolks with ¾ cup sugar until creamy. Add milk and vanilla.
  • In another bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form, then add remaining sugar gradually.
  • Fold egg whites into batter gently.
  • Pour into baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool, then poke holes all over using a fork.
  • Mix all milk mixture ingredients and slowly pour over the cake.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to absorb the liquid.
  • Top with whipped cream and garnish before serving.
