Ingredients
  

  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 cups cubed bread (French or sourdough)
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage or bacon, crumbled
  • ½ cup diced bell peppers
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • Spread bread cubes evenly in the dish.
  • Sprinkle sausage or bacon, bell peppers, and onions over the bread.
  • Add shredded cheeses evenly on top.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Pour egg mixture over the casserole, pressing gently to soak the bread.
  • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until set and golden on top.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
