- 4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Lemon slices, for garnish
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
Place cod in a lightly greased baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and zest. Pour over the cod.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until cod flakes easily with a fork.
Sprinkle with fresh chives and garnish with lemon slices before serving.
