Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries (rinsed and drained)
  • 1–2 fresh jalapeños (seeded and finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened

Instructions

Chop the Cranberries:

  • Place cranberries in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Do not puree.

Mix the Salsa:

  • Transfer chopped cranberries to a bowl. Add jalapeños, cilantro, sugar, salt, and lime juice. Stir well to combine.

Chill:

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing flavors to blend and sugar to dissolve.

Prepare the Cream Cheese Base:

  • Spread softened cream cheese evenly on a serving plate or dish.

Assemble the Dip:

  • Drain any excess liquid from the cranberry mixture and spoon it evenly over the cream cheese layer.

Notes

  • Use fresh cranberries for the best texture and flavour.
  • Adjust spice by using more or fewer jalapeños.
  • Chill the cranberry topping to enhance its sweet-tangy flavour.
  • Drain excess juice before assembling to avoid a watery dip.
  • This recipe doubles easily for larger gatherings.
