Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk or heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A pinch of nutmeg (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Saute the Garlic
    Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Do not let it brown.
  • Add the Flour
    Whisk in the flour to form a smooth paste. This step ensures the sauce thickens properly.
  • Pour in the Milk or Cream
    Gradually add milk or cream while whisking constantly. This helps prevent lumps and creates a velvety texture.
  • Stir in Cheese and Season
    Add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until it melts completely. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg if using. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  • Garnish and Serve
    Once your creamy garlic sauce reaches the desired consistency, remove it from heat. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
