For the Cupcakes
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ½ cup hot coffee
- 6 slices bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled

- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp butter

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, beat eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, vanilla extract, and buttermilk until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir in the hot coffee until a smooth batter forms.
Fold in the crumbled crispy bacon evenly throughout the batter.
Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Heat the cream until steaming but not boiling. Pour over chocolate chips and butter. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
