Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Juice of limes
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional for heat)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  • Prepare the marinade:In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic, paprika, cumin, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • Marinate the shrimp:Add shrimp to the marinade, toss to coat evenly, and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill:Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Oil the grates if needed.
  • Grill the shrimp:Place shrimp on the grill and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and lightly charred.
  • Serve:Remove from grill, garnish with chopped cilantro and lime wedges. Serve hot with tortillas, rice, or salad.

Notes

  • Do not over-marinate; the lime juice can start cooking the shrimp.
  • You can use metal or soaked wooden skewers to make grilling easier.
  • Great as taco filling, over quinoa, or as a protein-packed salad topping.
