Ingredients
  

For the Filling:

  • 300 g ground pork
  • 1 cup finely chopped leeks (or napa cabbage)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and white pepper, to taste

For the Gyoza:

  • 30 gyoza wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine ground pork, leeks, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until well combined and slightly sticky.
  • Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each gyoza wrapper.
  • Moisten the edges with water, fold, and pleat to seal.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • Arrange gyoza flat-side down and cook until bottoms are golden.
  • Add water, cover, and steam for 5–6 minutes.
  • Remove lid and cook until water evaporates and bottoms are crisp.
  • Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Finely chop leeks for even texture.
  • Do not overfill wrappers.
  • Keep wrappers covered to prevent drying.
  • Use a non-stick pan for best results.
  • Serve immediately for maximum crispness.
