- 2 cups macaroni pasta
- 4 cups water (for boiling)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cups tomato puree
- ½ tsp red chili flakes (optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp oregano
- ½ tsp basil
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ cups chopped bell peppers (optional)
- ½ cups grated cheese (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or coriander for garnish
Boil the Macaroni: In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and macaroni, cooking until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce: In a pan, heat oil and butter. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
Add Tomato Puree & Spices: Pour in the tomato puree, add red chili flakes, black pepper, oregano, basil, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Mix in the Pasta & Veggies: Add the boiled macaroni and chopped bell peppers, stirring well to coat the pasta in the sauce.
Add Cheese (Optional): For a cheesy version, mix in grated cheese and let it melt.
Final Touch: Garnish with fresh parsley or coriander and serve hot!
