- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: Sprinkles or icing for decoration
Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream Butter & Sugar: In a large bowl, use a mixer to cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add Egg & Vanilla:Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined. Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a dough forms. Shape Cookies: Roll small teaspoon-sized portions of dough into balls and place them 1 inch apart on the baking sheet. Bake: Bake for 7-8 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Avoid overbaking. Cool & Decorate: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Add sprinkles or icing, if desired.
