Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup lump crab meat (or imitation crab)
  • ½ cup celery, finely diced
  • ½ cup red bell pepper, finely diced
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Seafood: If using raw shrimp, cook them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Drain, cool, and chop. If using pre-cooked shrimp, simply chop into bite-sized pieces.
  • Chop the Vegetables: Dice the celery, red bell pepper, red onion, and parsley.
  • Make the Dressing: In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until smooth.
  • Combine Everything: Add the chopped shrimp, crab meat, and vegetables to the dressing. Toss gently to coat.
  • Chill & Serve: For the best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve on a bed of lettuce, in a sandwich, or with crackers.

Notes

  • Fresh seafood enhances the taste, but canned or imitation crab can be used for convenience.
  • For a healthier option, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise.
  • Add avocado or cucumber for extra texture and freshness.
