Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups fresh spinach leaves
  • 2 cups vegetable broth or water
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil or butter in a pot over medium heat.
  • Add onion and sauté until soft.
  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  • Pour in broth, season with salt and pepper.
  • Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  • Stir in cream if using and serve warm.
