Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Optional: sprinkles, chocolate chips, or other mix-ins

Instructions
 

  • Heat-treat the flour:
    Spread the flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. Let it cool completely before using.
  • Cream the butter and sugars:
    In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
  • Add vanilla and milk:
    Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until well incorporated.
  • Mix in the flour:
    Gradually add the heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until smooth.
  • Add mix-ins:
    If desired, fold in sprinkles, chocolate chips, or other mix-ins.
  • Serve or chill:
    Enjoy immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes for a firmer texture.

Notes

  • Heat-treating the flour ensures it’s safe to consume raw.
  • Use room-temperature butter for the best consistency.
