  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

For the Coating

  • 1 cup finely chopped toasted pecans or walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ½ teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

For Serving

  • Assorted crackers
  • Toasted baguette slices
  • Pita chips
  • Carrot sticks
  • Celery sticks
  • Cucumber slices
  • Bell pepper strips

Instructions
 

  • Cover the mixture and refrigerate for 1 hour until firm enough to shape.
  • Using clean hands or plastic wrap, shape the mixture into a smooth ball.
  • Roll the cheese ball gently until completely coated.
  • Wrap loosely and refrigerate for another 1 hour before serving.
  • Transfer to a serving platter and surround with crackers, pita chips, and fresh vegetables.
