- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1/4 cup hot chili sauce (like Sriracha)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, mix chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and olive oil. Stir until smooth.
Season the salmon. Lightly sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the fillets.
Brush with glaze. Place the salmon on the baking sheet and coat each fillet generously with the sauce.
Bake the salmon. Cook for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Caramelize the glaze. For extra crispiness, broil the salmon for 2 minutes at the end.
Garnish and serve. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with rice or roasted vegetables.
- Adjust chili sauce to control the heat level.
- Use fresh salmon for the best texture and flavor.
- Marinate the fish for 15 minutes for deeper flavor.
- Substitute honey with brown sugar for a richer glaze.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
