- 1–2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2–3 green onions, chopped
- ½–1 cup cooked bacon pieces
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

- ½–1 cup chopped pecans or nuts (for coating)
- White cheese strips or sour cream (for football laces)
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add shredded cheddar, green onions, half the bacon, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and ranch seasoning (if using). Mix thoroughly.
Wrap the mixture in plastic wrap and shape it into an oval football shape. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours.
Mix chopped nuts and the remaining bacon on a plate. Roll the chilled cheese ball in this coating until evenly covered.
