- 2 large egg whites (room temperature)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a clean bowl, beat egg whites with salt until soft peaks form.
Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff, glossy peaks form.
Gently fold in vanilla, chocolate chips, and nuts.
Drop spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
Place tray in oven, turn oven off immediately, and leave overnight or for 6–8 hours without opening the door.
Remove and store once completely cooled.
