- 2 egg whites
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp melted butter or neutral oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp almond extract
- 2 tbsp waterPinch of salt
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk egg whites until foamy but not stiff.
Add sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, almond extract, water, and salt. Mix well.
Gradually stir in flour until a smooth batter forms.
Spoon small circles of batter onto the tray and spread thinly.
Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges turn golden.
Quickly remove each cookie, place a fortune slip in the center, fold in half, then bend over the rim of a cup to shape.
Allow cookies to cool completely to become crisp.
