Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices of bread (preferably day-old)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter or oil for frying
  • Maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sugar, and salt.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat and add butter or oil.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
  • Place the bread in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.

Notes

For best results, use thick bread slices like brioche or challah.
