  • 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

For the Cobbler Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch. Toss until evenly coated.
  • Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.Gradually stir in the milk until a smooth batter forms.
  • Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter. Do not stir.Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Again, do not stir.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling.
  • Allow the cobbler to cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
