Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients:Wash and peel the ginger and turmeric roots. Chop them into small pieces for easy blending.
Blend: Add the ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, honey (if using), and water to a blender. Blend until smooth.
Strain:Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a glass or jar to remove the pulp.
Heat (Optional): For a warm shot, gently heat the strained liquid over low heat. Do not boil, as this can reduce the potency of the nutrients.
Serve:Pour the liquid into a shot glass or small cup and drink immediately.
Store: If you make a larger batch, store the ginger turmeric shot in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Shake well before serving.
